My opinion regarding Marbas, within the Goetia tradition, is that he is one of the most interesting figures precisely because of the seemingly contradictory combination of disease and healing, A great president who initially appears in the form of a large lion and can assume human form. He is credited with abilities such as causing or curing illnesses, imparting knowledge of arts and sciences, and altering men's appearances. What I find most interesting is the symbolism: Marbas represents knowledge that can both wound and heal. He is not simply a figure of destruction. His association with disease and his ability to cure it place him in an ambiguous position almost like a dark physician, someone who understands the mechanisms behind the illness and, for that very reason, knows how to combat it. I also consider his leonine appearance significant. The lion traditionally symbolizes strength, authority, ferocity, and sovereignty characteristics that align with Marbas's position as a president among the spirits of the Goetia. Marbas is a figure of forbidden knowledge regarding human frailty one who understands disease because he possesses profound knowledge of the body it can destroy. Historically, however, it is important to separate Marbas as a character in demonological literature from any claim regarding his objective existence. Within the occult context, he functions as a figure extremely rich in symbolism. In your opinion, what makes Marbas different from the other spirits?

Yes, Marbas is the king of knowledge, you could say the patron of all engineers, IT specialists, mechanics, and scientists who build both weapons and machines designed to create and improve the world. The dual nature of this demon reflects the duality of Knowledge itself, which can both save and cause harm.
