Hello.
I have been experiencing a strong sense of heartache and chest tightness whenever I encounter a certain person, even though we barely know each other. In particular, simply seeing his back can trigger this reaction.
Whenever I am near him, I also feel as though there is a repelling energy between us. At the same time, I have a strong sense that there is some kind of cord or energetic connection between us, although I don't understand why such a connection would exist when we are barely acquainted.
Because of this, I have tried several cord-cutting rituals and spells, and I have also received a cord-cutting session from a healer. After each ritual or session, I feel a sense of release and become calm and relaxed. However, whenever I encounter him again, the chest pain and tightness return, and it feels as though the cord has become tight again.

I would like to understand what might be causing this connection and, more importantly, how I can genuinely release it rather than experiencing temporary relief after a ritual.

Maybe should be moved to Q&A subsection, but the thing is if you're cutting and cutting and it keep getting back then maybe a new method need to be implemented?

What I would recommend is to get a proper reading from someone like this trusted vendor 🤣linked here then decide on a way to go about it or to try to reorient the methods to something else like a cleanse with an egg, bath, incense, head-washes, etc. It is more about finding different methods you can go about this that you can slowly try to wiggle it/move it out of you, if the cat doesn't want to be skinned one way then you gotta try another way.

To save you time and money, Just do Mary undoer of knots' novena. You can keep doing it until you're 100% sure. 😁

Maybe it's not a link of this kind. You might be pointlessly carving yourself with ritual after ritual, like scratching an insect bite more and more aggressively.

Do something more defensive in nature. Defensive talismans, apotropaic charms against being bewitched and evil eye, that sort of thing.

Maybe you're falling in love? ;)
Some of my thoughts:

How long has this been going on? If it's not long, might just need more time for the nature of the relationship to shift.

Get intel on the situation (use divination) - and include asking something like "what am I missing?" "what am i not seeing?".

If one particular approach doesn't seem to be working, try another. If a cutting the cord style working isn't doing it, maybe try leaning into the tight feeling more? This could be part of the intel gathering. Sit with the feeling, what is it in you that is drawn to this person?
My general go-to is to make offerings (Jason Miller has a nice offering ritual in his sorcerer's secrets book) and see how i can tip the balance of a situation through that. Only if that really isnt working do i do some kind of repelling. Might seem counterintuitive, but works great for me. Changes dynamics in surprising and helpful ways. Also, by doing offerings to local gods and spirits, as well as your own spirit team, you get a lot of help without having to directly ask...;)

If you don't already have contact with some beneficent being(s), do that and ask for guidance/help from them (there are so many!)

Honestly, your repeated attempts to perform cord-cutting might be reinforcing these feelings here. This sounds, in effect, a lot like anxiety happening when you're near this person (for whatever reason.) When we associate something, like seeing a certain person, with the experience of anxiety, this creates a trigger. Any attention you give to this trigger reinforces it. It creates an expectation of anxiety which makes the occurrence a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's counterintuitive, but any actions you repeat to try to stop anxiety from happening such as focusing on your breathing or trying to distract yourself, can serve to further reinforce it.

For something such as a cord-cutting, cleansing or uncrossing bath, egg purification, these can be very useful to do. But once they've been done, you should treat the work as completed and then move on. That's where I find things usually start to work.

For anxiety in particular, which I've experienced my fair share of, I've found it best to face the feelings head on. When you experience these sensations, just allow them to happen. Acknowledge that these feelings are happening without trying to avoid them, and then let them gradually pass. Once they do pass, notice that nothing bad happened, and over time this positive reinforcement will cancel out the negative trigger. This is what I've found to be the best way to resolve these things, and is what I would recommend.

I do feel much more at peace when I don’t see him or when I’m able to keep him out of my mind. But sometimes, even just knowing that he’s around can bring the pain back.
Whenever I do the rituals, I consider them completed afterward and try to move on, rather than repeatedly focusing on them.

As for the anxiety, I do try to face the feelings and allow them to be there without fighting them. But when they come up, I still experience a tightness in my chest, a hot sensation in my chest, and a fear of something I can’t really explain. What confuses me is that we barely know each other, yet his presence seems to trigger such a strong reaction in me.

I know we're on a magic forum, but since you don't see a a specific reason to suspect a magical cause it's always healthy to consider more mundane ones. Sometimes this stuff is just completely unpredictable, with no recognizable causes, and desensitizing your response to triggers can take time. After the loss of one of my parents, I started experiencing panic attacks triggered by absolutely random things with no association to them whatsoever; like shopping in certain stores, or being a passenger in a car. The brain works in weird ways. I would just suggest exploring this as a possibility. It could be that there's something about him reminding you of something traumatic that you aren't conscious of. This is probably why my brain acted like a lion was about to eat me when I was shopping for groceries. No idea why it started, but it very rarely happens anymore, and nothing like it did before I got a handle on it. You could try to talk to him more, develop your friendship a bit. That could help.
