Does anyone know of any former or current occult groups in the Pennsylvania area, closer to Philadelphia if possible, looking for places that have history.

I can't link it on this forum, but the Mandragora website is a public index of witchcraft and occult groups open to new members. There are many different kinds of groups in PA (I am from there and found my current group through the Mandragora site), from eclectic witchcraft to traditional Wicca, various Satanic groups, and there's even a traditional powwower somewhere around Hershey accepting initiates. If history and tradition is what you really seek, I would definitely check out the powwowing tradition, it is a practice exclusive to Pennsylvania and closely tied to its ethnic heritage in the Pennsylvania Dutch.
