I am not claiming this symbol is a magical panacea or that the author intended any such meaning—it's quite clear from his writing that the opposite is true and he didn't pack any mysticism into it! Everything I'm describing is the result of my personal experience and creative reinterpretation of the source material.

Like many of you, I'm always on the lookout for new tools and symbols for my practice. I love digging into obscure linguistic projects—sometimes they hide esoteric potential that the creators themselves never even imagined.
I recently stumbled upon the ∅∅mniPantoglyph project. On the surface, it looked like another intellectual, philosophical art piece: a "universal language consisting of a single symbol." The author, Evan Vortepov, wrote about semiotics, dynamic semantics, and other complex stuff. I skimmed his and (which I only found yesterday—before that I was just working with the site!), nodded, and was about to close the tab... but the symbol itself hooked me.
Here it is:

Something about this combination of a circle, a diagonal line, and a dot triggered a deep sense of recognition. Like, "Hey, I'm not just a picture."
What I Did (And What Happened Next)
I decided to try it out—not as a language, but as an object for meditation. No major expectations, just out of curiosity.
And then things got weird. First, the image started to "swim," and then I got this distinct feeling that I was falling into the symbol. The outer dashed circle seemed to dissolve, marking a boundary between "here" and "somewhere else." And that line cutting through the circle... it didn't feel like it was negating it, but rather opening it. Like it was breaking the illusion of separation.
But the main surprise was in the center. That point... it started to feel like an entrance. Not a physical one, of course. But at some point, my mental chatter completely stopped, and all that was left was a state of dense, potent silence. The author says the phonetic embodiment of the symbol is the sound [ə:], and that's exactly what it was like—I could almost hear that silence, that "before everything" vibration.
The after-effect wasn't some mystical high, but rather a very grounding feeling. It was like my brain got defragged. Anxious thoughts that had been looping for hours retreated into the background. I was left with this strange, very stable feeling that everything is exactly as it should be.
Why I Don't Think It's Just Placebo
When I later re-read the description of the symbol, everything clicked into place like a puzzle.

- The Diagonal Line: This isn't a "no," but a "breakthrough." A negation of limitations, a rupture in habitual perception patterns. Just like in some techniques for reaching altered states.
- The Central Point: A classic Bindu, the source from which all reality unfolds.
- The Rays: Channels of connection, for spreading energy and intent.
Put it all together, and you don't just get a pretty picture—you get a ready-to-use schematic. A perfect tool for:
- Quickly entering a meditative state and "stopping the internal dialogue."
- Accessing a state of "pure potential" before charging talismans or formulating intentions.
- Symbolic magic. You can use it as a universal key-sigil that, thanks to its "dynamic semantics," you can mentally tune to any task you need.
