Plant Spirits

All plants in any form contain a spirit and with that spirit comes a personality. We as humans don’t connect with all energies, but when we do, it’s special, especially if it’s shared with plant spirits. Plant spirits can become your best friend and greatest protector if you honor and connect to them properly. Sometimes they choose you, or sometimes they reject you very clearly, pay attention to how your plants/herbs make you feel. What are some examples of your connections to specific plant spirits? Whether it be a personal experience with these spirits or a plant ally that is a part of your religious tradition, what connections have you built with them?

Plants have an etheric body that's why they are more than just physical, but i don't think a specific plant has a spirit or individual consciousness more like a collective spirit. is this what you mean with plant spirits?

As an animist, I believe that all things have spirits, whether they are plants, minerals, the air, the waters. Call them nymphs or dryads, Fey, or what have you, the Others are there, and it is possible to interact with them as did our ancestors through trance or ritual. This is why it is crucial that when we are out in Nature and collecting materia magica, we must ask permission first and then leave some sort of offering or gift along with a 'thank you'; otherwise it can be construed as theft and the essence of the materials may be weakened and rendered less effective. I know that others will argue or disagree, that is fine, but for my own practice, this is the Path that my ancestors walked, and it is the road that I travel on today.
