Hi. I am very happy about finding this page. I am short in words, so I just wanted to offer my voluntary assitance on cleaning scanned books with techniques I have learned in these years of collecting and reading scanned books. Here are some samples:

I'm still learning, my biggest problem has been scanning books at too low a resolution. However, I'm willing to help out a bit with already scanned books.
pdf arranger - its a linux program but theres ways to run it on windows - its a super useful tool for cleaning up scans, lets you easily split pages apart and you can tweak the page size to crop out hands, non-book background stuff.
