I have been reading some of Crowley, and about Parsons and other occultist now.


What I am thinking is that We need to collaborate if we are to do any meaningful work.

I mean elucidating the systems within the body, how they work and why they work, and they can be used to better achieve our goals.
We need to organize rituals so that they do not fail, and do not have any negative consequences, instead of blindly fumbling around, doing damage to our spirit and those around us' along the way.

We need to share knowledge amongst each other - be more specific, be more rigorous and be more safe.

Despite the work of magicians across the ages, this knowledge is achieved very slowly by very few.
Different people have a different interpretation of demons and how they work.
Imagine how much we would know if we would share our knowledge with other magicians.

I sincerely hope we can find some to securely collaborate!

I totally agree with you. While there is no unifying theory that unites all the pathways there is one common strand that draws us together-the total rejection of the state sanctioned religions that dominate and oppress thought today.

The more I talked to people, the more I found that finding someone to seriously talk to about these things was a herculean task in itself. Most people I can find just read a book and adopt like a rigorous religious dogma. Finding people who seriously try to understand, to the point that human language becomes insufficient to describe what they know in full depth, is difficult.

Since the old books are open and purchasable nowadays, people just buy it, read it and when you ask them about it, a short conversation will reveal how little they attempt to piece their fragmented experiences together into a cohesive image. And that's the majority of people today.

Hence, why I maintain reservations about trusting people around me to join me in workings. Hell even just to welcome a person to a simple meditation I'd have to know them for a good while to know their habits in their working.

We have Western ceremonial magicians talking to Left-Hand Path theists, Hoodoo practitioners, chaos magicians, folk practitioners, and non-Wiccan witches. With the exception of genuinely closed cultural systems, we now have access to occultists, scholars, and practitioners from traditions all over the world.
People are no longer hiding in basements, terrified of persecution for what they know and practice. They are on sites like this, talking openly, comparing methods, challenging one another, and sharing what they have learned.

Look at the book-sharing forum alone. The amount of occult knowledge being exchanged would have been unimaginable to most practitioners even a few decades ago.

The collaboration is already happening. The real challenge is learning how to separate useful information from fantasy, dogma, bad history, and personal bullshit—and then organizing what remains into something clearer, safer, and more effective.

This kind of large scale collaboration in magick isn’t going to happen in the way you’re imagining. The problem is not the sharing of knowledge, the understanding that piece of knowledge is.

Many practitioners don’t have all their senses open or can see the spiritual 24/7. So when someone doesn’t have many real lived experiences in the unseen, they will almost always default to whatever their books or favorite authorities say. Any account that contradicts those frameworks will be dismissed as unbelievable because it conflicts with what they think is true and with what they’re able to perceive.

Without many lived experiences, people can’t distinguish between a subtle truth and a clever theory, and they will cling to the latter every time. So it’s not for lack of information, but for lack of belief and lived contact with the powers that information describes.

When I give people esoteric advice, i usually let them spill their guts first so i can get to the root problems. Some barriers usually need to be demolished before people will actually use the advice i give.
