Im relatively new to occult practices and I would like to know more about sigils. How do you create one? How do you work with them? What are they even good for?

There are many ways to create a Sigil; the easiest is to write your intention or goal in a short sentence and remove all the vowels from the sentence, then remove any repeated consonants; next, combine the remaining letters so that you’re left with a single abstract design. You can rotate or overlap them however you like—the goal is for them to no longer look like overlapping letters but rather like a symbol. Charge the symbol with your energy by focusing intensely on it and then “forgetting” it on a conscious level. Many people burn it, tear it up, or simply put it away without obsessively thinking about the wish again.

But there are other ways to create them. I recommend the books Liber Null & Psychonaut: An Introduction to Chaos Magic by Peter Carroll,
as well as The Book of Pleasure by O. Spare—though you’ll need to decode it paragraph by paragraph, taking notes.
Condensed Chaos: An Introduction to Chaos Magic by Phil Hine is the classic introductory text and includes a chapter on sigils—
this will provide a better explanation and allow you to try out more ways to create them.

What @Dyn Hysbys said. Any AI can tell you that, there are search engines, there is Wikipedia, there is a plethora of books, there are numerous threads about sigils here.

Not too sound too arrogant but in the context of such a specialised forum as this one, it's like asking a carpenter what a hammer was. You can do better than that.
