Spells using cat whiskers?

I've only had the idea to use them in a protection/landing on my feet charm bag.

anyone have anything they use them in?

Cats can perceive in the dark using their whiskers..
I'd suggest increased magickal or psychic awareness, or, when including them in protective spells and charm bags, tasking the whiskers to make them more sensitive to what is to be warded against.

Whiskers also help cats hunt by alerting them changes in the air caused by their prey. I could see them being used for anything where heightened awareness is useful. Protection work is the obvious choice, but the opposite stands out as well. A target of a curse might have a harder time evading a spell with whiskers, just as a mouse would have a harder time evading the cat with them. Using them to help you "catch" someone might be a perfect use, such as a thief, or a cheater. Maybe even a love interest.

Since their nature is to heighten awareness, they might help you notice the right time to talk to that love interest of yours. They might help a gambler know when to bet and when to fold. They might help someone looking for a job know when to jump on an opportunity they might miss otherwise. Lots of potential uses for just about any type of work. Just make sure to use whiskers that fall out on their own, never take a cat's whiskers out manually.

I used them in a travel charm to link the traveler more strongly to their home (shared with the cat) as well as contributing to the sensitivity of surroundings / more awareness attributes that were mentioned!

yes because carefully cutting a wisker here and there is the most evil thing someone could do. how dare someone think of something so vile. For shame!

dude really its fuckong hair it grows back and as long as you aren't cutting all of them off it will have little effect on the cat.

I've only used ones that have already fallen off... since they serve an important sensory function I wouldn't advocate cutting them, but you can obtain quite a few just by collecting ones that have shed.
