Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew if there are teachings of spirits/ghosts in Hellenism, and if so, what are they called? I've heard of Daimons, which can be lower or subordinate deities (e.g., household gods, nature spirits), guardian spirits (phúlakes) watching over mortals, deified heroes (anthrōpodaimonai), and many other things, which are technically spirits, but is there teachings of things like deceased humans becoming spirits/ghosts?
