Starting online divination professionally

So I have been reading lenormand cards for about 10 years, but never professionally, just myself and friends or anyone who seriously needed it.
I recently moved to a rural Mexican community and one of the first things I did was promise my contemporaries that I wasn’t interested in doing magic for hire here, I understand that the professional brujos and card readers seriously depend on their skills to make a living. I don’t want to take food away from people who need it, especially when I won’t go without if I don’t do it.

lately I’ve been thinking about doing card readings online for foreign clients, I see tons of people on Etsy but have read theres a lot of fake, AI generated content too. I’ve never charged anything for my readings but I have also discovered that if you give someone something for free they usually treat it as not valuable, whether it’s a book that changed your life and you want to share it or a card reading. I experienced this with a guy once you kept coming to me for readings.

are there any suggestions for getting started doing divination professionally online? I’m not trying to make a fortune off of it but I’m not interested in being taken advantage of either.

Get yourself on TikTok, or Insta or other social network... and do daily readings and/or other such stuff to build a follower base. Even if you won't get into private meetings on online private calls, you can still, once you get some followers, start making money through patreon, ko-fi, or other support platform. Those will also help you with payments, even one time payments for readings, once you master them.

Making online videos will also help you explore how to record card readings and will help you solve a lot of technical stuff...

I see tons of people on Etsy

You could do something like this. Reddit has several subs dedicated to offering services, there are at least 5/6 main ones.
I'd start by creating an account and offering free readings, state that you would appreciate feedback (add a post on your profile where they can reply). Maybe feedback if it came out to be accurate. This way you build some reputation. I'd also add something like tiktok/instagram/youtube to the whole thing like @Morell suggested. Then of course Patreon and "buymeacoffee".
Hmm.... and maybe list something on Etsy too, add a bunch of links to your Reddit profile, connect everything together.

This definitely is a tough field, there are many people doing card readings, way too many.
I can remember some sites where people offered readings with a camera on, every minute cost something.

Ah yes, you could do live streams on twitch/youtube. I've seen a lady doing card readings on twitch. I was surprised, she did get bit donations and subscribers.
