I've just purchased The Grand Grimoire: The Red Dragon.
Any other suggestions like the aforementioned?

Not exactly in the same vein, but Lucifer and the Hidden Demons by Theodore Rose has given me pretty good results. Not sponsored or anything, just recommending what has worked for me.

When did the Grand Grimoire become "dark occult"? It's part of the Grimoire Tradition, nothing dark about it at all.

I think you may be looking for stuff like what Ixaxaar used to publish or stuff like what Primal Craft puts out. Grimoires, at least legitimate historical grimoires, are not "dark occult".

I'm sorry for the wrong terminology. I meant it as it can be considered dark

I see. No worries. Still, I think you should check out Ixaxaar, Primal Craft, Zos House, Sirius Esoterica Unlimited, etc. Stuff like that is probably the dark occult you're looking for. I can't vouch for any of their works but it fits the dark occult bill.

Tbh, it is so vast. I'm not going to pretend I'm experienced. I've purchased The Grand Grimoire, The Lesser Key of Solomon, some book called The Art of The Occult. I see it as I'm just getting a lay of the land, read as much as I can ( even though they probably differ from one another) I've always been intrigued by Crowley but from all accounts, his writings are very obscure and not for the layman.
I'll take note of the books you've mentioned. Thank you 😊

Well hold on there partner! 🤠🐎

Two of the books you mentioned are in the Grimoire Tradition. While they seem like basic instructions to contact spirits there's A LOT left out and you'll need to fill in the gaps. You may also want to add Stephen Skinner's book "Techniques of Solomonic Magic" to your list. It'll help you immensely with understanding the grimoires, how they actually work, the tools and their actual uses, etc. Maybe even David Rankine's "Grimoire Encyclopedia" (both volumes if you can afford it but if not get volume 1) for a concise history of various grimoires.

Like I said, vastly inexperienced I am 🤣🤣
Since you are extremely knowledgeable sir, what are your thoughts on a author named Corwin Hargrove? I've purchased a few books by him.

I'm not familiar with his work but after searching him up really quick just now, seeing the titles and covers of his books.....seems like an EA Koetting or Gallery of Magick type stuff. That stuff isn't for me but others swear by it. I prefer to go with the historical occult systems and traditions and modernize from there rather than following new systems.

I'm sorry for bothering you pal. When you are new to it, it's so overwhelming and hard to find a stable start point. I myself have quickly looked up that Stephen Skinner chap. That sounds up my street!

What about Crowley? For the last time haha

Honestly.... Crowley isn't well liked these days. Most people outside of Thelema don't care for Crowley at all and even Thelemites try to remove themselves from his influence. Look at Georgia Van Raalte and her Temple of Our Lady of the Abyss. Her book explicitly states they are trying to rework the Goddess Babylon away from Crowley's influence.

I'm not a fan of Crowley and neither are most Occultists.

It'd be something to know you on a social level. You have cultured me in a short space of time.
Tbh, I had my doubts about Crowley. The fact he was a heavy drug user and talks about entering/touching other dimensions and seeing demons, gives less credence to him and his works.
Thank you for your time!
