Kundalini Yoga is a style of Yoga that concentrates on the awakening of the energy that is found at the base of our spine. For that reason, Kundalini Yoga is said to be the most powerful form of Yoga known today. This energy is said to take the form of a coiled snake, hence the name "kundalini", which is Sanskrit for "coiled up". The goal of Kundalini Yoga is to awaken this "snake" and send it moving up your spine all the way to your brain, which is believed to result in a sublime state of ecstasy and awareness.

Kundalini Yoga was introduced to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1969. The practice of Kundalini Yoga includes Yoga Poses and Meditation, but focuses more on Chanting or Mantra and Pranayama.

Once the Kundalini (the energy in the form of a snake) is awakened, it passes through the different Chakras, or centers of consciousness, that are thought to reside in the human body. There are a total of seven chakras, each providing a certain power or experience when stimulated. For more information, read our section on the Seven Chakras.

Instructions for Kundalini Yoga for channeling energy up the spine (Sat Kriya):

Sit on the heels and stretch the arms over the head so that the elbows hug the ears.

Interlock all the fingers except the first ones (index) which point straight up.

Begin to chant "Sat Nam" emphatically in a constant rhythm about eight times per 10 seconds. Chant the sound "Sat" from the navel point and solar plexus, and pull the umbilicus all the way in toward the spine. On "Nam" relax the belly. Continue at least 3 minutes, then inhale and squeeze the muscles tightly from the buttocks all the way up the back, past the shoulders. Mentally allow the energy to flow through the top of the skull. Ideally, you should relax for twice the length of time that the kriya was practiced.

Looks like the way I build up power in my body in a ritual, but without that text, without sitting in that posture and without interlocking the hands. If you have learnd to do this, you can do this in any posture as long as the spine is relaxed and straight and one is able to open up the channel in the spine. The opening of the channel is not about forcing, it is about allowing and accepting. When it reaches the top of your head it is like all lightbulbs in your brains switch on immediately. Goose bumps on your body but you notice that in a kind of dissociation because when the 'light is on' you de-attache from the body, the body is not that important anymore, you are in full energy mode and an altered state.

You can also decide to build up till the shoulders and direct it to the hands, which gives a much stronger and better controlable psi. It is by then possible to switch from the dominant hand to the other when pulling out the energy. Energy-wise I am ambidextrous when working with this procedure. It surpasses the dominant brain hemisphere, but only after you had have more times a lightbulb experience. So the first period it is nessecairy to go to the top of the head.

For peeps who are working with spirits, angels or demons as a their teacher and have a good working relationship with them, do it under their supervision/while you connected just before. They can teach you a lot about this.

It's not just another exercise, it changes your energy field, it changes your being, it opens up all your senses, doing it more often does change your relationship with the world around you because it adjusts your filters. It empowers and activates everything in your mind and being, the bright side but for certain the shadow also. By this it is not for the faint hearted so to speak, it is a way of no return. If one can't accept the concequences, life will be rough..... Trauma can be activated also. In me it did and I took it to the advantage to solve things. I was warned and knew it could happen, but I wanted the solve instead of living with an unsolved problem forever.
