[Opinion] The Best Magical System Is.....

If your just adopting a system & not altering it to your liking your honesty only using a small percentage of your potential the best magic system is one you create for yourself.

Alot of dogma must be accepted if your just adopting a system & in the end you don't actually learn much the average practitioner just believes the belief system that comes with the magic system & that prevents growth & actually creates more division within.

You don't need temples,coverns,lodges,cults,churches,etc to do anything.

I'd like to hear what some of y'all custom systems look like do you incorporate different archetypes such as angels,demons, elementals,archons,jin,plasmoids,gods, etc or do u stay to one type?

I couldn't agree more with this! Dogma is the absolute death of personal evolution. The moment you try to squeeze your unique spirit into a rigid, pre-packaged system, you start performing someone else's theater instead of doing real, raw work.

For my own custom approach, I absolutely love blending different 'currents' and archetypes, but I don't treat them as clashing systems. Instead, I view them like different frequencies on the same cosmic radio.

In my practice, I don't feel the need to choose between 'light' and 'dark' or stick to just one pantheon. I might work with elemental energies for daily grounding and balance, but then call on very different, primal archetypes depending on what a specific situation demands.

To me, the secret to making an eclectic, custom system work without it becoming messy or chaotic is having a rock-solid personal anchor (your own center, your True Will) and treating every force you interact with with genuine, level-headed respect, rather than viewing them through outdated, human-made moral hierarchies.

Building your own toolkit is where the real power is. What does your current setup look like?

It's inevitable to end up combining different traditions on this path, I think those of us who do this are curious by nature, and yes, I do think it's good to specialize, or at least commit to one, but it'll still cross paths with others anyway, because in the end everything is syncretism.

This is subjective though and hard to measure. How do you isolate it?

Mine is basically a controlled mess.
I use demons, planetary forces, spirits of place, servitors, sigils, minerals, metals, incense, timing and whatever else actually produces results. I do not force everything into one cosmology, because I do not think every intelligence is the same kind of being.
I borrow from grimoires, folk magic, chaos magic, radionics and technomancy, but I strip away the parts that demand obedience, worship or blind belief. If something works, I keep it. If it starts acting like a religion, I cut it out.
So yes, I mix different types, but not randomly. Every force has a job, every spirit has limits, and nothing gets authority over me just because an old book says it should.

Combining different systems sounds cool on paper but I fear the truth is only one, always has been, and always will be one and only one! Thus, the truest system is the one best aligned with that Universal TRUTH that trumps it all. But as you all know, from our current levels of evolution, we aren't advanced enough to know the ultimate truth and therefore we are stucked in our everyday practices with only what feels like the truth. That is why I too recommend building your own system but my criteria shall be not to exclude things you don't like, or getting stuck in only one system of belief, but rather develop that gut feeling for truth that will allow you to get as close to the absolute and only real truth as much as possible.

That is the best advice I could give, I think.
