The Maggid has been mentioned in Jewish literature as a spirit guide for very holy men like Rabbi Yosef Karo and Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto.
The Maggid is basically a spirit we create by our thoughts...it may also be a guide that gives one access to the Akashic records. In the Kabbalah this is known as creating angels and accusing angels...when we die they believe these angels accuse us and defend us before god, innplain E blush we are creating a reality that stays in the universe that others can access...the Akashic records as I mentioned and in a way heaven and hell
if one was to properly prepare themselves (living right) one can enter a trance state and meet their Maggid. Rabbi Ariel makes a way better explanation
