Thoughts on psychic ability and psychokinesis?

Every area of magick has liars, larpers and charlatans, and psychokinesis is no different, hell, perhaps it is even the biggest offender.

Even still, there are many who believe that abilities such as telekinesis and pyrokinesis are real. What do you guys think, and if you think them not to be real, what other psychic abilities do you believe in, if that?

Technically speaking those abilities can't be ruled out with certainty since science doesn't deal with certain knowledge, but unlike the more subtle arts psychokinesis is categorically not permissible under known physics, chemistry and biology. Relatedly, no successful attempt was ever recorded and no reliable method was ever made known to public. Though I would gladly be proven wrong, there simply seems no reason to believe those tricks ever actually work.

Couldn't you say this about literally any other field of magick? Or are you a skeptic completely?

The only form of "psychokinesis" that exists is altering information. You can't make pens roll across desks with your mind.

inexperienced, unqualified cynics masquerading as offended authorities.

Not even close.
Lying and larping about being informed through implication by speaking hyperbolically on areas of magick is a more common offense.

Having experienced poltergeist events where telekinesis has occurred has required my model of reality to expand to include such things.
Experiments are ongoing for creating mass events.

No, I couldn't, that's the thing. There is no science possible at current point to measure how subtle or potent memetic phenomena can really get, and that's only the most promising of avenues. I'd say I'm a skeptic of most theories but relatively few practices and experiences.

I had to include that first section because you get pelted with rocks if you even mention the word telekinesis in most occult circles, but okay. And how am I speaking hyperbolically? Have you ever been in any psychokinesis circles? Half the proof videos is people swinging their arms at pieces of foil and then going "oh em gee telekinesis!!!!", and dont even get me started on the people trying to sell you something. I dont know a more fraudulent community. Despite this, I'm not some skeptic going "people are lying about this so its FAKE!"

Again I literally just included that so people dont go "Heh..... Don't you know this is all people scamming you with telekinesis courses?"
You can acknowledge there are a lot of scammers within a practice while still not diminishing it's legitimacy. Divination as a whole is also full of charlatans but that doesn't mean its fake
