(Hopefully this is in the right section!)
Given the weather conditions in my native UK at present, I’d like to share a short chant I find beneficial.
The words came to me during a thunderstorm in my late teens, whilst watching the flashes streak across the sky from my Mam’s back porch/decking. They’ve served me well in the years following, aiding in clearing away the heaviness that life can put us under.
I’m a pagan, with the Lady mentioned in the chart referring to the darker aspects of the Triple Goddess, in the many aspects she can be found in.
When possible, and safe to do so, being outside to dance or bounce around in the lightning and rain makes this work better, for myself at least.
Lady of the Darkest night,
Hear this mortals cry.
Thunder crash and lightning flash,
Make my troubles fly.
Repeat as needed and/or for as long as the storm continues.
Hopefully, after doing so, some of the burdens will feel washed away or become clearer to deal with.
The natural rain aiding in a semi-ritual cleansing, whilst the lightning works to earth the swarming negativity back into the cycles, so no longer as built up.
If this needs moved, please let me know where it should go.
