To Domesticate or Wildcraft

Hi guys,

I have been thinking on this topic for a while now. Is it better to grow as many of the plants that one would use in their craft, or to go out and harvest them? I know scientifically that wild growing plants are higher in essential oils, but are there any other benefits to not growing the plants themselves at home? I have about 50 of the plants that I use in my regular practice, and I usually stick to them. I live in a small apartment in a big city, I think this is probably the best for me. Anyone in a similar situation?

No, not better. Different. Each offer different advantages...

Wild plants
- tough, wild/untamed, more unknown, mutual respect with the plant

Home-grown plants
- tamed, trusting, long-time friends, 100% control over chemicals in plant if intended for ingesting or using on body, relationship with the plant
