Was checking the what's new tab and saw this thread. If I'm honest, I may need to work on building or finding some hobbies not related to magic or occultism. There are a couple of things, however:

  1. I have my critters, one awesome, aging bully dog and seven eight cats. They need lots of love and play.
  2. Actually working on a web comic, maybe print out some comic books too, IDK as I am clueless to the whole comics industry and how stuff gets done but I am doodling away at the story anyhow. The Life and Times of the Sonic Tomato (Look for it in stores soon and, well you won't find it and nobody you ask will know what you're talking about.)
  3. "Art" is a strong word for what I do but I like attacking various sorts of paper, canvas, wood, etc. with markers and paint and pens and pencils.
Anyway hope that was OK. I read those rules and almost decided not to try and post anything for a while until I could watch and see how it gets done, LOL. Cool place ya'll got here ima get back to poking around now.

That's very interesting. I might even try to search for that comic when it's done. (even though you said I won't find it lol)

Not vague shit like "being spiritual" or "being social"... be specific!

For me, my hobbies vary wildly over time, but some of my current ones are:
  • Various technophile shit, like for years now I have been pretty interested in mechanical keyboards. Building them, upgrading them etc
  • Collecting fragrances (I think I have close to 100 now)
  • Watching sci-fi TV shows
  • Cooking
This is a bit of an old thread but I wanted to chime in anyway.

I have an unexpected love for theatre. I love stage acting, I don't think I would be the person I am now without it. Despite being rather reclusive (with a few exceptions, of course) there's just something about sharing the spotlight with my fellow actors, making fools of ourselves that I adore.

I'm also a writer! I've mostly done poems and monologues. I have a few ideas for one-act plays and a solo show that I'm hoping to develop further in the future. Not sure if I'll ever post about it here for the sake of internet safety, but I still wanted to at least mention it. :]

I am THE sandwich maker 😈🥪
Is that what they call the Demiurge in the foodie universe?

And on the First Day, did he take dough and doth knead it with leaven...
...And on the Seventh did he garnish with a slice of dill pickle on a toothpick cleaving the pumpernickle at an extensionless point. Then did He take a bite and, lo, it came to pass that the savour thereof was very good. (Book of Reuben 7:42)

I'm unsure what to consider as a hobby. I usually take non-Occult and non-duty piqued activities of mine as a desperate "attempt to survive against boredom". Perhaps, I described hobby in an other way just now?
  • Horseback archery
  • Collecting crystals, fragrance oils, incenses and books to read (doesn't mean I succeed in reading them all)
  • Crafting in the kitchen aka making food that can either please someone or make them regret their life choices
  • Taking care of animals on- and around my property from cats and dogs to birds and what not
  • Gaming - I prefer competitive or RPG type of games, and to make my karma more menacing, gachas
  • Maintaining Communities, organising events and discussions
  • Painting, drawing, crafting accessories
  • Gardening I can keep alive plants around my house, not in my room
  • Working out
  • Energy drink collecting
Speaking of taking care of animals around the new place I recently moved in, here is the latest fella I saved, right from my well fed outdoor cat's mouth (that I also adopted as well, alongside with four more stray cats) a couple of weeks ago. He is living happily with his family again after I healed him, fed him for days and managed to return him to the parents who came looking for him around the house. I placed him for them in a more safe, wooded area, and made sure they re-united succesfully.

I've always enjoyed (among other things):

hiking (the more uneven the terrain, the better),

reading (mysteries, especially locked-room ones),

organizing excursions into the wilds with friends (and family), whether it's just to get out and enjoy or more special occasions.

playing the penny whistle without too many animals objecting,

indulging my sole, remaining vice---coffee.

Golf... but I bring the occult in anyway - my golf balls have, at different times, carried runes or sigils -- much to the consternation of my playing partners!

Archery. I have an ILF bow for traditional-style archery.
1)^ Archery unfortunately I went with a compound and the cam broke a few years ago, and there was a snap from the recoil, (55lb draw) I’ll be buying another bow in 1 or 2 months tops, going with another compound.

2) in the same vein, traditional archery is also fun.

3) playing with my doggo/hiking/camping.

4) I like trying out different steel types, sharpening them and always looking for a high quality steel budget knife. Which is getting easier to find as v10 steel prices dropped quite a bit over the last few years.

5) tinkering with wood/widdling, stuff like that. soon to be black/blade smithing (just having some issues with the hard coals getting up to the right heat I think I figured it out) I’d like to make some fixed blades and amulets.

6) listening to music and podcasts.
