Satanism is certainly something to be, hopefully, outgrown. But hell as a messy desk? Surely you must see that, next to cleaning it, there is the option of setting it on fire.
Im framing the desk as my true will. It would not make sense to set it on fire. Im stating that by cleaning it, i am uncovering what was already there to begin with. The underlying reality.

It is a tangent, but I must ask. If your will is buried, then what are you until you unbury it? By whose will is the mess being cleaned up?

In this case, I visited a Hell where everyone has pets. However, that doesn’t mean every person who owns pets ends up in that particular Hell.
Ah, that's slightly less pesimmistic than I seem to have misread it 😅
Kind of telling about modern man the regions of subconscious "pet" seems to inhabit, by the way.

The concept of Hell was named after a Norse underworld deity and evolved

My view is places like Heaven and Hell cannot exist as actual places.

My concept of hell was formed during my basic esoteric studies in the early '70s when it was common to believe that life on Earth is as close as we're going to get to it. When you're at the bottom of a well, your only option is to climb out. Everything else about it is just religious mystification.

I despair of so many of the views on here. There are so many people on this forum that are still locked into xtian attitudes. You need to break free of that rubbish.

Personally, I've heard many perspectives on the subject of hell. However, my personal belief on it comes from a book called The Diabolicon. The gist is pretty much that it is basically what you make it to be and that since it is away from god you must make peace in the chaos by yourself. This is pretty much Chaos magick when you think about it knowing that it pretty much makes hell what you believe it is.
Kinda reminds me of this forum... How new rules are added and now I can't download or. Iew the library section.... Its hell lol

xtian as in shorthand christian. This forum is full of views on this abrahamic religion - that's fine in the right sections, but this is the left hand path section. Can we discuss real occult magick here?
I do not view the lhp from the lense of "satanism" anymore. HOWEVER. Some people genuinely do and actually benefit from it. I am not saying that some people dont do it just to be edgy or because they are still in the christian mindset. A lot of people do. But people do the same bs with nearly every other occult system. I have seen people try to say that greek gods are their "fathers" or "mothers" in the sense that they would coddle them like some people view the christian god. You cannot judge one path for something that nearly every other path has an issue with. The whole "satanic" "luciferian" etc pantheon may not be for me. But it is a valid spiritual path.

I think I understand heII a little bit more by Iooking at history and the historicaI context of it. In the times when heII began to take shape Iife was brutaI. There was pIagues, terribIe Iiving conditions, not many record keeping systems so peopIe couId get away with aII sorts of terribIe things. Even if there was that record keeping systems punishments were brutaI.

Iooking at the death penaIty today versus back then. I think most countries don't even have that penaIty anymore.

It just sounds terribIe. So in these terribIe conditions I can see how imaginations of the time couId tend to be more dark. Thus, creating the big terribIe fires and brimstone and suIfur.

I lean more towards agnostic most of the time so my beIief is that I don't know if there's a afterIife like heII that a lot of big reIigions talk about. But it does make sense that back then peopIe having to Iive horrific Iives that they wouId imagine an afterIife similar to their terribIe conditions.

I guess I just wanted to give a historicaI context for heII and hearing what many had to go through back then if I had to go throguh similar I might also beIieve in an afterIife like that. Though the modern era is not perfect it seems a tad bit better than now especiaIIy since modern technology aIIows for peopIe to be asleep during surgery.

I doubt I wouId even make it past infancy in that time since I was born very sick and without a modern hospitaI might not have made it.

I've read all sorts of things on Heaven and Hell. And also about the Purgatory, which is some sort of an intermediate state after death for purifying the soul before going to Heaven. This is according to the Catholic Church.
But I do not see me or my soul going anywhere after life ends. I think we might just vanish into nothingness, and that is all.

We would be then the sole thing in the universe that can vanish into nothingness.

I believe it is possible for things to cease to exist as they once did.
Our consciousness could be something produced by our brain. If that stops, there doesn't have to be a separate thing that travels elsewhere.
I mean that the conscious being I perceive as "myself" might just vanish.

Literally nothing else would act that way though. Also, we are clearly of different substance than both physical things and abstract objects.

I don't think being different from physical objects means something can't cease to exist.
A melody can stop being present even if its substance doesn't vanish.
Awareness might be somehow the same - like a process produced by the brain that just ends when the brain stops working. If we don't know what awareness is, it doesn't prove that it continues to exist after death.

If it's a process stricte then it can be represented abstractly with preserving all of its properties. Is a brain descreibed on paper (a lot of paper) conscious in any way? Maybe it is, I don't know.

A process is not, its description. Just like a description of fire isn't hot, a description of the brain isn't necessarily aware.
It is possible that awareness depends on the physical thing itself and not its abstract representation.
That's what I think, but maybe I'm wrong.

A description of fire yields (or perhaps requires) a description of heat.
