What's your thoughts on opening Sigils via Tv, Iphone screens?

Doesn't seem right to me as I feel that it needs to be drawn on paper to create a direct link between you and the spirit, be in the flesh so to speak.

But.. has this worked for anyone? I'm just curious.

Part of the magic is in creating the sigil itself. If you create it on a computer you are still involved in the process and I have found this to be effective, especially when using Kameas. If you just use a sigil that has been downloaded it’s the same as just using one out of a book, not as effective but still works. I don’t believe the digitisation itself to have any negative effect.

A hand-drawn sigil easily involves greater activation of the motor cortex and drastically richer sensory feedback.

If we subscribe to the Hermetic principles stated in the Kyballion, the All is the Mind...
And if we accept the modern assumption that the mind is very strongly correlated with the brain...
Then it's only natural for us to automatically conclude that a greater activation of the nervous system would be associated with a more energetic sigil, because energy goes where attention goes.

Note that I borrow my personal beliefs on sigils from a mixture of Dion Fortune and Israel Regardie's opinions.
They emphasised that sigils are nothing more than visual representations of living ideas.

There are probably better models for sigils out there I'm unaware of, but yeah...
I don't personally create digital sigils, and don't know anyone who considers it better than a drawn sigil.

What's got you interested in this though?
Have you seen any advocates for this novelty?

Sorry I was away for Christmas.

I was just generally curious to know how it would work digitally, its not how I was taught to activate Sigils as making them is part of the ritual as well. I've only literally seen other practitioners worried about being found out by family members of their interest in the Occult and so this was a solution to the problem they had.

For me, gazing at the sigils on screen causes eye strain problems, and it feels uncomfortable .. I don't know lol

Maybe I just prefer the old ways of doing things rather than modern magick.

Fair enough, I do prefer paper and a pen than screen because when you think about it. The pen becomes almost like a wand.

I don't think it really matters, I've cut out a sigil just so I could be as close to the original sigil as possible (I think I might have OCD) and yeah it worked but I think the magick really starts when you begin to open the sigil. Everything does add up though, from the time you create the sigil and to the time you begin working it.
