I mean, that's a cool historical-materialist take, the "we became humans when we started burying/honoring the dead" idea. But I've got a more avant-garde notion. Time only exists from a certain perspective, and from another perspective, everything is happening all at once, there's only an Eternal Now that you can move your imagination through loosely while staying grounded in the "present moment" throughout your life. This Eternal Now exists in a state of change and motion, so past, present, future, choice, these are all moving at once. Consciousness predates humanity in the evolution of this EN, so in that sense, humans came out of the world meditating upon itself. Through retrocausality, this became the history we are familiar with (or rather, imagine ourselves to be familiar with, given most of humanity's history is admittedly prehistory). I liken this evolution of consciousness to the intelligence exhibited by insect colonies. Even though individually the decisions are all simple, it leads to complex behaviors. The evolution of human consciousness is similar, it's made up of pieces of other forms of consciousness. This is the lesson I've learned from the totem pole, we are built up of these essences, sort of spiritual chimeras. Humans as an essence contain all of nature and yet stand adjacent to it, building Civilization out of their mastery of Nature. The internet is the modern human take on birdsong, if you can view it that way

.
Retrocausality is important to wrap your mind around when you work with majiq. Retrocausality also has bearing on gratitude and manifestation, if those are important to your practice. I'll explain:
Actions in the present can influence the past. How to do this is still a developing art, I encourage the reader to experiment and share results on this website. But how it's
possible is relatively easy to explain. Time has a physical component to it that is beyond the primary human senses. You can't "hold" time, but there is an axis that can be imagined that travels through past-present-future. By adding "choice" as a factor, you can stretch this axis of time into a plane, just by imagining that the future where you choose to eat Lucky Charms is connected to the present the same as the future where you choose to eat Rice Krispies. The presence of alternate
futures implies the presence of alternate
pasts to fill out this plane. Retrocausality in majiq is the idea of using a ritual in the present to change the past, to change the baseline of your past-present-future axis of experience within the 5D spatial-temporal matrix created by this confluence of spacetime we've described. So when you hear someone online talk about "raising humanity/Earth's vibration", this retrocausality-feedback loop of driving the baseline of conscious experience through the 5D field of probability is what is being described. Of course, the questions of "how to best achieve this" and "what direction do we want to steer through the field" are still open, but understanding the nature of the experience is a start.
Consider the conventional understanding of Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. They were different, but similar enough to interbreed. Today, modern humans are a mixture of the two. That's the nature of the evolution of modern consciousness. There are people in different permutations of development, but they're similar enough to exchange traits. We're cooperating to guide the evolution of our consciousness, that's the nature of this experience. Humans become more human every day, as we define what it means to be human.
