Where does one start when building their own table of correspondences

I think it was The Fraternity of the Hidden Light (if not, it was the Builders of the Adytum), after gematria lessons to build your own Qabalistic correspondence table and Qabalistic encyclopedia. Sadly I started as usual, but did not finish, and burned all my notebooks shortly thereafter during a religious freakout.

With building their own table of correspondences? Countless books are out there, but unless You're into reading them and using them daily, you don't hammer correspondences into your brain.

So...suggestions on where to start building your very own table of correspondences without plagiarizing books already out there?

I think it comes out with personal practice. I memorized a handful of the standard elemental correspondences, but when you actually practice this stuff you get intuitions, or a memory of some event that you had no previous idea of ever relating to that element.

It just happens in the moment, and you can recall that memory or feelings you had as a representation of that element’s quality. It really enhances the ritual.
