I was reading through the comments, and I resonated with a few words that were spoken. I do not think a method is better than another; safer? Perhaps, however, a medium said to me, "If you don't believe, it means nothing what you wish for." The entity this medium was channeling was speaking about magic, but I think in this context magic and energy are the same. One must believe in their craft before expanding or channeling it; it's like trying to make the windmill run without having water or wind... You need to be attuned with your craft, your identity, and essence before trying to save or expand your energy into others' methods; otherwise, you are just feeding a void with no return...
So, I think before you try to incorporate these elements in your craft, connect first with your energy and then try to channel it into little habits of your daily life, like cooking, gardening, even getting ready can be a way to use your energy to cast some glamour magic. Now, if you ask me, between these methods, which is best to start, I say the ones that do not rely on entities and deities, purely because they might not be willing to work with you unless they have shown you signs of that desire, but be mindful they will not always answer to you or feel inclined to work, alike us, they also have their own moods and wills, so there may be times they do not wish to work, or may ask something in return for the result you desire, in some cases, they may even give you a prophetic warning... As long as you are clear on that, by all means, if working with entities and deities is your path, then go ahead, but don't forget to remember which energy is yours and which one is from them.
