Hi guest! As you can see, the new Wizard Forums has been revived, and we are glad to have you visiting our site! Repeated motions while listening to meditation music. You should try swaying too. Tap both your legs then your feet. Go slowly and do it over and over again while sitting.
Dancing and breathing, with repetitive sacred music usually. Also sometimes microdosing on psylocybine, but i dont think full on tripping is usually a good idea (see Josephine McCarthy's idea of strengghtening inner muscle)
The simpler I can keep it, the better. Laying down, getting comfortable, and emptying my mind has always worked best for me. I find that it's easiest first thing in the morning, when I'm still groggy but mentally primed to wake up instead of fall asleep.
I enjoy sitting in a dark but not completely blackout dark room and just stare in front of myself not at anything just zoning into the space after about 10 minutes of this you'll start seeing colors & your vision will start pulsing & sometimes you catch things moving after about 30-40 minutes of this the walls disappear & all you see is swirls of energy & strange shapes.
I started doing this when I was 12 I'm 36 & still do it after awhile you'll enter this state very fast & notice the shimmer that hides most entities from normal human perception I call it multi dimensional sight. Ignore the chills & vibrations you will feel.
Do not be afraid of anything you see it was there before you could notice it so fear is pointless.
Some entities or shapes will notice you seeing them & may try communication through dreams, thoughts, emotion.
Have fun my friend & remember the average human eye only see 0.040% of the light spectrum there is so much going on we are not aware of level up your sight everything levels up with it & doorways open for you.
Feel free to ask me anything in the regards my human friend

That’s a powerful method, I imagine zoning into that space helps quiet the mind since you use this practice regularly to access altered states, do you think it has changed how you see reality? Do you find that staying in that focused state allows you to connect with higher consciousness or other realms? Have you had any particular insights or even unexpected experiences or visions during this practice and do you do anything afterward to ground yourself back into normal consciousness?

That makes a lot of sense keeping it simple helps the mind relax more easily. Do you have any tips for staying focused or avoiding distractions during those sessions?

Do you have a favorite type of sacred music or a specific rhythm that works best for you? I'll check out her work, I knew that name sounded familiar she's behind Quareia. Thanks for mentioning her, I'll look into it!
I do a few things - regular breathing is one of them but what really helps me is starting at a number and counting down when my eyes are closed. This is a technique used pretty commonly in hypnotic inductions, and I've found it to be really effective.
Though, to be honest, I think that the regularity that you use an approach is more important than the exact approach itself. Stick with something and be consistent and your mind learns to enter a trance state from that method and it gets easier.
