Though technology began to make our lives easier, it gets powerful every day. AI is capable of learning, and practically everything we do now involves technology.
But there are hazards related to all these advantages.
Will we always have control over what we make?
There is this guy giving interviews on various channels, and he says technology could finish us all...
It's less likely that technology will end humanity. Rather, humans will end themselves by their own stupidity for making things that are out of their control.
In the case of AI, it is stupidity showcased at its best. I will say this plain and simple: if one looks at how those networks are called, they are called
neural networks. What does the word
neural make you think of... the
brain itself. How much do scientists and people with their heads in studies know about the brain today? Except for mapping the physical structure and chemistry in incredible detail, among other things like some Brain Eras and Milestones studied across the Human Connectome Project, to this day, it still remains a lot of mystery how the brain forms the human mind, the concept of consciousness, the mechanics of memory, the neural code, and even curing neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, ALS or Huntington's Disease.
So, imagine basing your network concept over something you do not fully grasp.
The problem is not technology itself, but rather how it is used. Back in the 90s, there were PCs running on systems most of Gen Z people would not know about (I am talking Windows 95, Memphis Builds and so on and so forth) and even then, technology was used in good cases such as communication between people abroad, Microsoft Offfice - 97 software for secretary and other office activities that involved documents, but on the flip side, people used technology to make viruses like the Anna Kournikova, ILOVEYOU email worms, or the other viruses like Code Red.
As for AI exterminating us, here is one thing to lift the spirits up a bit: I once played a crosswords game (offline, on paper with a pencil like a boss) and frankly I didn't know what to say about the meaning of "The Chief of America", and it contained
4 letters. I asked the AI for fun what would that be and he said
Biden. Now, if Biden has
4 letters well... give me the sleeping pill and let me wake up fresh on another day

.
I don't think the AI will exterminate us, but it is important to remain vigilant on what the changes are in this domain and how we can protect our mind, and souls if shit ever hits the fan. Staying away from YT shorts content for example is one of the ways that can get you in a safe protection of your mind and also reading books made by humans (applies to both occult and non-occult books alike) instead of those who can easily be spotted as AI written (the images that have the specific chromatic, the text with no value and short as hell, the content that is overall boring and feels like lacking soul and substance and watching the paint dry).
