I use the RWS every day. Hard to beat one that has all of the symbolism baked right into it. But my favorite overall oracle deck is by the people who do the acid horizons podcast. it's based on the philosophy of geroges battaille, and its called acephalous. I'd link it but I'll get my whole post torn down for linking to a shop.

Totally agree with you, RWS is really hard to beat! Heaven and Earth Tarot is almost exactly like RWS! haha but with more correspondences included, like the meaning of the hebrew letters (for example a camel behind the priestess)... it's not better, just almost the same tarot with more correspondences...

I have a horror tarot deck and thats pretty fun. Its has I think a goblin thing as the page of wands and a frankenstienish monster as the king of pentacles.

Cthulu is also there doing cthulu things.

Paul Foster Case did a deck, have to colour it yourself, really need the BOTA literature to make all the connections. But probably due to the time i have put into it, its very special for me. Also as a map of human consciousness and evolution its great.

For mundane reading i like the druidcraft tarot

A tarot you have to color yourself! that's actually pretty clever idea.

Yeah, in the BOTA courses there is coloring, lot of intuiting meaning from single cards, or a few cards in various orders. Basically stuff to build further subconscious connections (which is what tarot is about right, bringing information through the subconscious via pictorial imagery - the language of subconscious)

I mostly use RWS and am pretty picky about art/symbolism, but I just picked up 2 recently that really resonated.

While I have multiple tarot decks, my favourite is still the one I use least often. Not because of wrong results. I don't rely much on tarot readings, I don't have to, but when I do, it's always on point.

When I was taking a shot of the deck for the post, I made a three readings for the sake of it, two more serious and one focused on my day. That one was hilarious, basically said: 'Go clean the house, stop drinking energy drink and eating more trash for today, and do something productive with some music in the background' and also warned me about being toxic and not counting the consequences of it ... just fantastic, guys, really.

any more demon-oriented stuff? I just found an occult tarot on tiktok that seems to be more or less just the spirits from the goetia, and this looks interesting as well but also seems to just be a random demon-picker. What I'm curious about is a tarot that works on demonic/LHP themes: corruption, greed, antipathy but also the idea that demon work can be, symbolically, the understanding and harnessing of these impulses in a person in a way that allows them to develop further.

I have the traditional Raider Waite Smith deck for travel. Its simply familiar and if the damned airport loses my luggage I can get a new one pretty reliably.

My more sacred deck I keep at my altar is the Lisa Porter deck (link removed)

I'm a huge fan of high detail as that's my favorite part of occult culture, the aesthetic.

My deck is also particularly rude ever since I took a Tarot class.

got the Philosopher's Tarot from Acid Horizon and have used it a lot ... not my 'favorite' as I don't have a favorite, but it's fun

My favorite is The Sacred Rose Tarot. It was the first deck I ever bought, way back in eighty-two, and I still use it.

I know that feeling. I got really mad at one tarot deck but I think it was just because I was frustrated at my own life.

But this new tarot deck I got recently thats more traditional raider waite type. Its so. It wants me to be more traditional or normal to talk to it more. Its so rude. I don't even think it believes the questions I ask the tarot deck which I get but come on.
