Been on a wild spiritual journey these past few months, and throughout all of this I had decided why not visit the local lodge and apply to join.

Being a complete moron I didn't know the masons have anything to do with the occult, I'm into history and patriotic and knew they have major ties into significant American historical moments so I figured why not learn first hand experience. At the time (few months ago) I had thought it would be good to join and learn what it's about and maybe understand more about my country's inner workings and history, as I was simultaneously going through this bizarre spiritual awakening that I did not expect. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing and I did not think they were at all related.

Throughout the multiple meditations I've done both with a psychic channeler, a hypnotist and also by myself, I've been able to visit this dream like realm that is somehow more real than my normal waking life. I've met my higher self many times and my spirit guide many times.
I'm not sure what this realm is called, but it's like an alternate dimension? I'm not sure if gnosis or the Akash is what's its called? But I've read others describe similar experiences when reaching deep meditation or the Gateway Tapes for example... Kind of like astral projection but I know I'm still in my body if that makes sense...

Either way, my spirit guide has been teaching me and showing me these things in this realm, trying to get me to learn as much about it as I could as quickly as I could, saying that I "need to become adept as soon as possible"... after I had one of these sessions where I asked my higher self and my spirit guide directly, what their thoughts were about me looking to join the Freemasons, my higher self just smirked in silence and didn't answer and my spirit guide shrugged and pointed at my left foot, I looked down and saw a sword stuck in my foot into the ground, and she said I basically stabbed myself in the foot. She's since not been as available to me or eager to meet with me in this realm as before and warned me against joining them and insisted that "she teach me instead"

Trying to dig into why she may have said this, I read up a lot more about them from the books on this site as well as other sources (trying to ignore the various conspiracy theories about them since I'd rather hear it from the horses mouth) and realized they are very occult and it may not have been a coincidence that I felt like joining them when I was also going through what seemed like to me as totally unrelated spiritual experiences.

I've not joined yet but put in the application and have not been initiated.

Question:

A. I'm having a hard time reaching this dream like state ever since, and am curious if they could be blocking me, or simply not assisting me, or if it's just me getting in my own head about it all?

B. wondering what their motivations would be to not have me join?

C. Are the masons not a positive or "of love and light" organization? (Should I be giving these conspiracy theory videos more credit?)

D. What would you do in this situation?

Thank you all in advance.

The freemasons are a social club largely populated by people who are only there to network and hang out. They are quite far from a "love and light" group and not really an occult group, even if they retain the appearances of possessing secret knowledge and an inner order its not really what they are about. Maybe more of a "whiskey and cigars" group. You might want to look at actual occult orders like the Golden Dawn.

ALL such groups that have branches ( cells, Lodges, regional bodies , etc . ), the branches will vary and focus more on one thing or another ; be more or less competent , etc.

The first 3 degrees are not 'occult' or 'magical' , in essence they teach morals and ethics and the 'way for a man to make his way in the world ' ... and according to those 3 degrees - 'The Blue Lodge ' - that is all there is . Except there is more , many more degrees, in the 'Royal Arch Lodges ' - the Red Lodge , where it is a bit more esoteric and one might meet more esoteric minded people .

If you main aim is to find out more about this in relation to your country and founding ; that goes right back to 'the enlightenment ' , the overthrowing of the 'church state ' , political masonry , etc etc . You can read up on all that without joining ... and a Freemason should read up on that as well .

Ever since when ? Having that communication where they smirked and pointed , or since you filled in the application ?

A sword through the foot into the ground is an interesting symbol . What do you think it means ?

B. wondering what their motivations would be to not have me join?

Have they been tested ? I ask as ; 'higher self smirked at you ' ? Also 'need to become adept asap ' .. with no further advice ? Went off in a huff because you asked about an idea you have ?

Q. Do you feel you can immerse yourself , experience and not 'lose yourself in it ' ?

C. Are the masons not a positive or "of love and light" organization? (Should I be giving these conspiracy theory videos more credit?)

Why would you not do some VALID research before taking such a step to find out what , at least they say, they are doing ? Such questions like the above would surely be answered . Since it appears you didn't do this , that could explain your 'guides' reactions ?

D. What would you do in this situation?

I would have already studied what they do and then try to find out about the lodge where I was being initiated

Eg, the local one is all but defunct with a few dotty old men left . others are vibrant and active .

Thank you all in advance.

I can understand the ambitious nature some or most of its members have, but could you elaborate further on how they're not of love and light? Thanks for humoring my naiveté!

Yes I've discussed this with a number of the masons since meeting many at the lodge, have been explained the Scottish Rite vs. York Rite, degrees, Shriners, etc. I now see the blue lodge is essentially a pre-requisite for many other intra-fraternities within the masons, some of which seem to be 'old Boys clubs' and others are more esoteric or occult, etc. I'll have to learn the rest as I go, if I continue to join. That is up in the air at this point as I'm worried my spirit guide knows best and has been proven right to me many many times in the past 4 months.

I guess this is the crux of this post, wondering if my spirit guide truly knows best and its truly not in my best interest to join, I. E. It'll be more detrimental to my spiritual path than I would benefit from attaining their knowledge/understanding/networking.

It all happened in this order:
Had a traumatic spiritual/paranormal experience, in looking for advice or guidance to work out just what the Fuck happened to me, I met a psychic who knew two others and the three of them helped me in meeting my spirit guide and higher self. Over the next month I'd have many meditations where I was able to enter this dream like state to meet with them and they would teach me various things like how to filter thru distractions within meditation, how to maintain focus, how to handle other entities (part of the catalyst for this traumatic spiritual awakening has been an intense encounter with entities which I'm unable to categorize or describe them too well, in which my spirit guide has potentially saved my ass) and that some entities are benevolent, some are neutral and some are malevolent, and both my higher self and spirit guide kept saying just focus on practicing more and more until I become adept so that I no longer need the participation or assistance of other psychics or channelers to achieve this state of meditation and can attain it on my own. One of the meditations early on, my spirit guide took me to this rocky asteroid in space with a 10ft tall marble/stone archway that looked like a defunct or powered off portal and an ancient marble podium. She was reading from this book on the podium and when she was done, she presented me this sword. Said it is mine, that it could not cut "good" things as in was unable to cut things of love and light. That I can use it against any entities that are not benevolent and that I should do my best to not need to use it but if I had to, it was a last resort. I immediately tried to stab myself with it as I wasn't sure if she was being literal or figurative, and it just didn't do anything, the blade couldn't touch my skin no matter how I held it.

About 5 or 6 weeks after this all started I had decided to take this idea of joining the masons off the backburner of my mind and just do it and so I did and met some of them and they have been incredibly friendly and welcoming and I applied. The next time I went into meditation I asked both my spirit guide and higher self their thoughts and that was their response. Not much explanation either. Very frustrating for me. When my spirit guide showed me my own sword piercing my foot that was alarming, as she made it clear that it was not normally able to cut or pierce "good positive" things and yet now it's piercing me, implying I was no longer good or pure or whatever? All I'd done at this point was put in the application, haven't even joined even till today which has been two months later. Perhaps my intent was enough to tilt the scale of good vs evil? Idk if that's even how it works...

Q. Do you feel you can immerse yourself , experience and not 'lose yourself in it ' ?

I may not be practicing often enough, it could and maybe should become an every day thing but life loves to find a way to get in the way.

Why would you not do some VALID research before taking such a step to find out what , at least they say, they are doing ? Such questions like the above would surely be answered . Since it appears you didn't do this , that could explain your 'guides' reactions ?

I wish I had a better answer for you other than "I tend to just do things and they somehow work out for the best a suspiciously often amount of times" but that's all I've got. Should have looked into them more but when I looked them up in the past I couldn't find much, just generic stuff that was clearly hiding a deeper truth left unspoken. Once I had the wool ripped from my eyes, somehow all of this esoteric texts from sites like this also included Freemason stuff and so I began reading it and I'm seeing there is much more to it, like magic rituals and energy work or some such, which was unexpected but interesting.
