This is from The Chaldean Oracles: Text, Translation and Commentary by Ruth Majercik. The above is denoted as "Fragment 88" and is attributed to Micheal Psellus. Any interpretation or impression is welcome, there is no wrong answer IMO.

Anti gnostic perhaps, but an interpretation could be that nature has demons in it's employ that are only following orders, where we can see these orders with right understanding not corruption and evil, but purity and good for the all.

Problem is indeed orientation. Of course not to the past but to a future worth living. I can give you the wings of the Aeon, no prob. You like to fly, you fly. But where to? Where the rest is able to follow some day would be nice. In which direction lies this future?
