I have a few experiences, but most are allied with banishing techniques. My strongest are my own home protections, due to my devotion to Hestia and my lunar month rituals with my Agathos Daimon. There are plenty ways to approach protection (and which to use depends on what resonates with you) but all of them boil down to discipline and intent.
Talismans usually require more work, but are imo more reliable due to their fixed nature and maneuverability. Setting the boundaries of a space with sigils or rituals tend to be easier to make, but require constant maintenance. Incantations are bread and butter to most rituals so you see them as a supporting act in (if not all) most of them. Ritual tools, however, are a little more complicated to place in RHP practices (if you exclude things like athames and wands).
Tools, from what I could gather on my studies across both Right and Left Hand Paths, carry a strong active/aggressive energy by their own nature. Think of sickles, wands, knives, staffs: they all are forged to take something, to whip forces into shape, and that's the antithesis of a RHP approach to protection. All protection structures in RHP practice are passive, even if a chained reaction is triggered by an attack. They answer instead of shouting, building and waiting instead of molding.
Purification is another topic entirely, but my general rule of thumb is that when you cleanse something you get rid of all energy, not only the filth. Good to keep that in mind to avoid the energetic equivalent of using excessive alcohol wipes and fucking up your skin.
