Just as the title suggests, I returned to occult practice.
1) Why did you leave? -- I lost faith in it.. It seemed like the occult made me focus more on trying to change things through will rather than practical and logical means. I found better results when I started taking real action for my life, using the abundant resources available to us in reality-- rather than utilizing ritual, magick, grimoires, etc -- Not only that, some of the energies in my life became very volatile at that time.. as I was opening gates to the unknown.
2) Why did you return? I just wanted to explore magick in general, not necessarily heavier stuff but more practical stuff to utilize in my life -- /program my subconcious mind, etc. This led me to covering alot of the stuff I'm well versed in and practicing it again just for the hell of it..
3) What has been your experience overall? I've had great results with different types of magick, have created powerful talisman/amulets as well.. The more you believe in your magick, the more it will have an effect. Over time magick loses its power or fades unless you keep it going/keep recharging the intent.. Thigns in your life that go against your will must be cleared for the magick to work better. In my experience, working with "demons" has been problematic and not recommended at all. Rather work with angels or impart planetary energies upon myself..
Today I did a ritual invoking a specific entity from an old latin grimoire utilizing specific rituals I've known forever. I will assess the results and share them with you guys as a follow up.
Major Thoughts after over a decade+ of practice in the occult:
1) The attributes, names, sigils, correspondances of Demons and Angels are all manmade creations created by systems devised by people who were very educated/literate and enjoyed studying esoteric topics. While I believe in Angels and Demons, I think they all fall under spirits, some are more AI like in nature and some are more free will like in nature. What I mean by AI is, they are architects for specific type of work and are more passive than active and free.
2) Magick is entirely subjective. Read this as many times as you want, there's nothing to add to this statement.
3) Most magical systems are severely flawed, especially western magick. Read #2 to understand why this doesn't matter that much.
4) The most powerful magick is that which you use your own framework for. Utilize other systems befor eyour own only to form a foundation/ basic framework to create your personalized system upon
5) Depending on the individual, one style of magick or another will work better than others. Ie: Evocation/asking spirits for help may not be any stronger for an individual than creating a personal sigil with intention.
------------------ Real vs Fake Magic/Magicians----------------
While on my journey, I have met very "real mages".. what I mean by that is .. these people are people who have cultivated their facultiies to the point they have encountered real spirits in physical.. The real sign of a true magician is, they will almost always have a ritual dagger/weapon at their hip. These magicians are VERY powerful.. They usually wear a robewhile in their temple/ or respective practice.. If you visit their shrine or temples, they usually have MANY ritual tools, including bells, gongs, drums, various wands and athames, pentacles and other things.. They usually have purpose for aech and every ritual item in their room. These rael magicians wil never tell you their real name.. some will even pull out documents with an alias on it to showyou what they want you to believe is their name.. Why? their is power in a name.
These magicians truly boggled my own mind about magick... for the longest I practiced and while I have encountered entities and beings of various kinds, I had come ot believe the work of grimoires was just pure fiction and I still believe it to a great extent.. However, these magicians are working with real beings-- creating powerful amulets and talismans and have been known to have great effect in their magic and are known by hundreds of poeple who have utilized their services..
I have only seen these "real" magicians in parts of Asia so far.. I have met magicians in South America as well who are real but they seem amateur/messing with evil/volatile forces/ very messy rituals, and things I would not involve myself in.
-------Conclusions about these real magicians and MAGICK in general ------------
Once again, MAGICK IS SUBJECTIVE. Occult Science is NOT, it is OBJECTIVE. Some of these real magicians understand OCCULT SCIENCE. It is my theory they are all initiated, and that you have to be, to learn their methods.. and unlike the west, stuff isnt heavily publicized.. but then again, like I said, I believe western magick is pathetic..no offense to anyone.
I believe that these "real magicians' have spent years harnessing and cultivating their spiritual and magickal powers... ie: Like the Bruce Lee quote: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
the quote here should be "I Fear not the man who has practiced the magick of a bunch of grimoires, and has done 10,000 rituals that are not his own... I fear the man who has practiced 10,000 times his own personalized magick.
