Hmm, maybe ask yourself, "when was I last utterly fascinated and preoccupied with something"? Did either that, traumatic experiences and/or life-changing joyful moments, ever make you dream? Or wake you up feeling in a certain "affirming, embracing it" mood? < That may be proof you Do dream.
Maybe you dream so well, that you finish the entire process cycle before waking up, not recalling anything?
Some people only dream in sound. Some only in e-motions... some are just the entire ocean('s motions).
Maybe you subconsciously can't be assed because of your personal biggest thread metaphysically / the highest abstraction of your worldview + your being. Maybe your life is too boring for a certain potential in yourself to wake up and stir you, so you can dream about it. Maybe you process your life quick/efficiently.
Maybe you don't sleep long enough. Try 2-3 nights of sleeping til you wake (wake as in actually ready to get up. If you Can stay in bed and fluff the pillow and snooze off, repeatedly do so til that moment comes). That means sensory deprivation, no phone, no people no bells no whisles no outside sounds.
I know I get fucked up spiritually if I don't get the whole sleep-shebang delivered at least once a week. I stop dreaming and I separate in duality, existentially.
